I think I converted my cousin to the love of AG...

Which, truthfully, isn't that hard to do-she already LOVES Barbies. Actually, we are a lot alike-except she is 10 years older then me.

She came over yesterday to take me out to lunch, and she wanted to see my dolls since I talk about them to her on the phone. When she came into the room where they were displayed, she started squealing. She was in love with all of them. She then opened the doll closet-and fell in love with Kit's Waffle Iron and the Radiant Rhinestone Outfit. She also LOVED the shoes.

By the time she left, I gave her my other copy of the wishbook-which she looked at hungrily. (Her niece is about a year old-so I think she is going to get a bitty soon)

She asked if I was registered on americangirl-if they had a gift registry. She then asked which doll I was wanting next.

We made tentative plans in the spring to go to AGP-maybe for lunch. Its so nice to have a family member FINALLY understand, and not look at you with 3 heads when you start talking all AG!

That's so cool! I wish at least one of my family members could share in the excitement. I think that they have at least begun to accept it, but I don't know if they really... embrace it. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I'm glad that you've finally found a family member who takes interest in your AGs!
I don't see my cousins often enough to get to know them well. I have three girl cousins, they're 22, 21, and 10. The 10 year old has three brothers and is slightly tom-boyish, but I played polly pockets with her when I last saw her, though she may be past that now. I'm not sure if she'll go for AG or not, and her parents really can't afford it either. My other two cousins probably think that they're too old (ha! that hasn't stopped anyone here!). As I said, I don't know them well enough anyway. I'll see two of them this summer, so maybe I'll get a chance to talk AG with them! I'm not sure I'd want them to know I play with dolls though, it's not 'cool' and I kind of don't like to broadcast it to everyone (and my boy cousins wouldn't let me live it down either). I guess I just see how things go.

I don't have a lot of cousins-especially girl cousins. The one that I am close to I believe is like a second or third one. My dad and HER dad are cousins.

As for first cousins-I'm 26, I have 4 first cousins all boys: 13, 16, 36, and 40. Yeah...I'm the odd one out.

We have been close on and off for years-her mom lives near my family, about 20 minutes away or so...we talk on the phone about once every month or so-and see each other about 4 times a year. I worry about her though, even though she is my cousin and all-I feel like I need to protect her.

But its nice to know someone that enjoys the AGs too.
